Community Health Systems Development
The Community Health Systems Development (CHSD) Team is part of the Georgia Health Policy Center, located within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. We have provided technical assistance to more than 550 grantees of HRSA’s Office of Rural Health Policy since 2002. Our team of 15 internal and external technical assistance consultants come from a varied background, including clinical medicine, public health, non-profit management, network administration, FQHC operations, marketing and communications, and local, state and national policy development. With Atlanta, GA, as its hub, the CHSD team members are conveniently located near an international airport and travel around the country to support clients.
The team has extensive experience, skills and knowledge in providing targeted technical assistance and strategic support to rural health systems, conducting program evaluation, evidence-based research, convening and engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and empowering communities.

Georgia Health Policy Center
The Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC), housed within Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, provides evidence-based research, program development, and policy guidance. We work locally, statewide and nationally to improve health status at the community level.
The GHPC focuses on solutions to the toughest issues facing health care today including insurance coverage, long-term care, health care reform, children’s health, and the development of rural and urban health systems.
Today the center is at work throughout Georgia and in more than 200 communities across the nation, helping communities achieve health improvement.
